Highlights & Reminders

  • Students will be assigned Tacoma Public Schools teachers. They will also have access to all extracurricular experiences (sports, clubs, etc.) at their schools (when extracurricular activities resume) in addition to supports offered through Tacoma Online.
  • Tacoma Online students and families will receive communications from the Tacoma Online support team and their assigned teacher(s). Additionally, families will continue to receive communications and updates from their home school principal.
  • Tacoma Online will provide access to continuous registration but will adhere to communicated transitions of trimester (K-5) and semester (6-12).

Guidelines

  • All students remain enrolled in their school, all TPS policies and guidelines outlined within the student handbook are to be acknowledged and adhered to.
  • Daily attendance is a requirement for the Tacoma Online program. Daily/Weekly learning schedules will provide additional details by level.
  • Students will be expected to engage in daily learning and will follow the published 2020-2021 TPS Academic Calendar to include all holidays, Late Starts, and designated non-student learning days.

Laptops

  • Students may choose to use a personal device, or check-out a TPS laptop from their homeschool.
  • If you  have questions about your laptop once you have it, you can contact the TPS technology help desk for assistance.
