RSVP for Graduation
Before you know it, graduation will be upon us. TOL is excited to be planning our first-ever in-person graduation ceremony on Tuesday, June 14 at 10 a.m. at the Tacoma Dome. In order to plan to make this event special for all, I’m writing today to ask you to complete a short survey about your plans for our graduation ceremony. It’s a lot like an RSVP. Parent/guardian or student can fill it out. I appreciate your time in sharing your plans with us.

Want to be a speaker at your Graduation Ceremony? Here’s how

Graduating seniors are invited to apply to be a graduation speaker. We will choose 2 speakers for the event in a two-part process. Part 1 – write a speech and submit it to us. Part 2 – selected speakers will be invited to audition their speech in-person. Please consider stepping up to rep TOL, yourself, and your amazing class of 2022!

Cap and Gown Orders
At each school, students attending walking in the graduation ceremony on 6/14 will need to purchase a cap and gown package from Jostens. If you’re planning to attend and haven’t yet ordered, you can do so at www.Jostens.com.

Senior Breakfast and Check-Out

We’re organizing a senior breakfast to recognize all of our TOL Seniors on Friday, June 10th from 9AM-12PM in the Quad room at the Tacoma Professional Development Center at 6501 N. 23rd Street, 98406. This is also when students will be signed off as ready to graduate and also turn in their TPS issued laptop and power charger. Mark your calendars to come on by on June 10th! If you need an ORCA card to get to this event, please emails Brandi Prestegard at bpreste@tacoma.k12.wa.us ASAP and we’ll get it to you.

Edgenuity Target Dates
In every school, Seniors finish their classes and graduate before the last day of school for other, younger students. Now that our graduation date has been set, we will be adjusting the target date for your classes to end on June 8. This will give our counselors and staff time to prepare all of the formal documents for your graduation. We’ll be making this change today so you might notice your Edgenuity pacing will slightly change as we’ve made your class a little bit shorter.

Senior Meetings
If you haven’t already had a senior appointment with your counselor, please do schedule this as soon as you can using the links below which go to their calendar where you can choose a time that works for you. Your counselor will review your path to graduation to ensure you’re on track!
