Schedule Block Definitions

Edgenuity

Learning blocks with the single designation of "Edgenuity" are an opportunity to access learning content, curriculum, activities, and assessment within the Edgenuity platform. In addition to the digital content, students will also have access to supplemental workbooks that house learning activities and resources that can help balance screen time.

Edgenuity/Academic Support

These learning blocks, throughout each school day, will be utilized by our Tacoma Online teachers to provide support. This will vary by the needs of the individual students within each class and be further communicated by the teachers as they assess student needs.

Class Meeting/Whole Child

These social connections will occur twice daily and each student will be expected to attend a minimum of one per day. This learning block will provide an opportunity for check-in with teachers and peers.

Breaks/Transitions

These intentionally scheduled breaks are a valuable part of finding success in an online learning environment. It is critical that students engage in physical activity and find ways to support mental wellness. Resources and a variety of activities will be provided.

Late Start

Late Start will occur every Wednesday, during this Tacoma Online teachers will participate in a variety of professional development activities that will improve our ability to serve students and families. Students will utilize this time to engage in their course work within the Edgenuity platform.
